About StateCourse
StateCourse is an online real estate and mortgage licensing school, built state by state from each regulator's own rules.
The founder
I have worked as a real estate broker and mortgage broker since 2004. I hold real estate broker licences in California, Florida and Washington (California DRE broker licence 01385024), and I am a licensed mortgage loan originator (NMLS ID 2775380). I still work transactions on both the real estate and the loan side, from Los Angeles.
Why this school
Most pre-license courses are written to get you through an exam. I wanted a course that teaches what actually goes wrong in a transaction: the missed deadline, the wrong form, the loan that falls apart a week before closing. Every lesson is written from the state's statutes and regulator rules, and each course is built separately for its state. Rules are not copied from one state to another.
How it works
Courses are a serious digital textbook with short sections, worked examples, knowledge checks and an AI study coach that answers from the lesson itself. No hours of mandatory video. You can try real lessons and practice questions for free before you pay anything.

We publish the approval status of every course. A course is offered for credit only after the state approves it. Until then it is marked In Development and available as free, non-credit practice.
