Regulatory approval
Check us in the regulator's own records.
Every claim StateCourse makes about approval can be verified in a public state database, without taking our word for any of it. Where no approval exists, this page says so.
Two different things, often confused
Provider or sponsor approval says a regulator has accepted the school. Course approval says a regulator has accepted one specific course, and it is what makes education count toward a licence. A school can hold the first and still not be approved for the course you are about to buy.
California puts this beyond argument: Regulation 3004(b) requires advertising for an approved course to carry the Department's course approval number, and RE 303 states that an offering may not be promoted as DRE-approved until actual approval is issued. When StateCourse holds an approval, its number appears here and on the course itself. Until then, this page shows its absence.
Nothing on this page is an offer of enrollment, and creating a StateCourse account does not enroll you, start study time, or create regulatory credit.

Verify with California Department of Real Estate
- Open the Department's public course search. No account or sign-in is required.
- Enter the course provider name, or the provider number if you have it.
- Select the delivery type — correspondence for an online, self-directed course.
- Select the statutory course you are checking: Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Practice, or Mortgage Loan Brokering and Lending.
- Confirm the provider is listed for that course. The record shows the provider name, number, address, and the courses the Department has approved.
The Department's search returns approved providers by course. A provider that does not appear for a course is not approved to offer it, whatever any advertisement says.

How to read any school's approval claim
Ask for the course approval number, not the school's. Look it up yourself in the state's public database rather than on the school's own page. Check that the record is current — approvals expire. And check that the record covers the exact course you intend to take, because approval of one course extends to no other. Compare jurisdictions on the State Requirements directory.
